It's been a long time!

Well, it's been a really long time since we've updated, so I thought I would get several months in at once!

September 2009
We went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom with our wonderful neighbors. One of our neighbors works for US Bank at Dell and Dell rented the park for the day. It was great because there were no lines and free food and drinks! We had a blast! After a day at the park everyone was ready for a night out. We had dinner at Hard Rock and then found a little bar with karaoke (always fun)! If anyone ever visits Louisville, check out 4th Street. It was a covered block in downtown Louisville with restaurants and bars lining both sides. So much fun!

This month we celebrated my 29th birthday...dreading next year! We had so much fun with wonderful friends! We enjoyed a night watching football and spending time together at the Tin Roof in Nashville. Here are a few pictures from the night!

We also enjoyed the ever exciting weekend in October when our house is truly divided...Alabama vs. Tennessee! Although Alabama beat Tennessee in a nailbiter, fun was had by all.

We went to Texas for almost a week for my 10 year high school reunion. It was so much fun seeing old friends and seeing how much everyone had changed. I can't wait to see what our next reunion holds! We also got to spend some much desired time with my family, whom we love and miss so much! Unfortunately, Abby and Ty were unable to come due to the Fort Hood shootings, but thankfully they were both safe.

We had a busy month! I went on a girls trip to Chicago with Josh's sister, Jordan, and Shelby and Patti. We had so much fun! We flew up on Friday a week before Christmas and came back on Monday. It was only a long weekend, but we were all exhausted by the time we left!

We celebrated Christmas with Josh's family again this year. We had a wonderful time. Maybe one of these years we will be able to get off work and spend Christmas in Texas...hopefully next year! We had so much fun watching our nephews open gifts and entertain everyone. They are nine and two. Unfortunately, we forgot to take any pictures! So here is one last picture of Josh and I the night after Christmas.

It's been a while...

Well, it's been a long time since I wrote anything on here, so I thought I should get caught up. Josh and I have been busy working all summer. I did get a short break in June to go home and visit friends and family; however, Josh has worked for almost a year now without a vacation! Josh and I are really looking forward to getting back to Texas in November for my ten year reunion.

At the beginning of August, we celebrated Josh's 29th birthday! We had a great time with two of his fraternity brothers visiting.

He was able to get a new watch, speakers/amp for his truck, several movies, and several books. I think he made out pretty well!

Also this month, our wonderful, sweet (you would note the sarcasm if you could hear me) dog decided she wanted to take a bite out of my cheek. It was late Saturday night a week and a half ago, and I was making her do tricks for a treat. Well, I guess she was done with it by the time I put my face down to hers and asked for kisses! Needless to say, she didn't get the treat! I think Josh would have killed her if I hadn't been standing there crying and telling him not to be too mean. He was funny; he put her in her crate and pulled the most terrifying thing out to put in front of her...the vaccuum! She didn't make a peep until about 6:30am.

Two days after she bit me.

A week after she bit me.

Anyway, my face is healing, and I've met with a plastic surgeon who feels confident it can be revised in six months or so. I guess I will just have a reminder of my "child's" love for a while!

And, now the most recent drama in our house: the wonderful neighbors who are renting the condo unit above us. We have really had the worst luck with the renters who have passed through in the two and half years we've been here. We bought our condo in February 2007. The guy who bought the unit upstairs decided to lease it out. Bad idea! The third group of renters moved in a little over a week ago. They apparently moved from another building because their lease was terminated and the female, whom just had a baby, went to rehab for a cocaine addiction. Well, the first week, they had the fire department and ambulance here for some sort of "medical emergency". Then, Friday, we woke up to flooding in our bathroom. They apparently overflowed the toilet in their bathroom and didn't bother to call a plumber or let us know. Well, the plumber I called came and fixed their toilet.

Then, Tuesday (my day of relaxation away from work) I woke up to banging and stomping and what sounded like furniture being moved around the living area upstairs. A few minutes later the cops arrived due to a domestic violence call! As if that was not enough, about twenty minutes after the cops left, our bathroom was flooded again! I am so ready to sell this condo and buy a house! Darn the housing market/economy!

Well, I guess that's about all of the excitement we've had lately. I am really going to try to do better with posting more often. Hope this finds all well!

New to this!

Well, I have been reading a few friends' blogs on here and thought I would give it a try! Josh and I are curretly staying busy with work. He started a new job about two months ago and things are going great! I am working as a nurse in the cardiac cath lab. I think I have finally found the career that suits me!
We just got back from visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Gatlinburg this weekend. It is beautiful up there! I will post some pictures later.
And finally, we are trying to make a baby! No luck yet, but God will bless us when the time is right. Everyone has said once we quit trying, it will happen!
Well, that's about it for now. I am looking forward to seeing family and friends in Texas in a couple of weeks!
